Zhu Bixin met with Director of China Centre at Cambridge University

On September 28, the Group’s President Zhu Bixin met with Professor Peter Nolan, the Director of China Centre at Jesus College, University of Cambridge. The Group’s Vice President Xiang Hong attended the meeting.
Zhu Bixin welcomed Professor Peter Nolan, and introduced the Group’s pilot reform in capital operation, and the investment and operation of China Structural Reform Fund. He also introduced the development of China Chengtong’s four platforms, namely fund investment, equity management, asset operation and financial services. Zhu Bixin said that Professor Nolan has a profound understanding of the global economy and Chinese economy, and the China Centre at the Cambridge University has trained a large number of high-end talents with international vision for China. China Chengtong is willing to enhance its cooperation with the China Center to advance the comprehensive strength of the Group and lay a solid foundation for building a world-class enterprise with global competitiveness.
Professor Peter Nolan spoke highly of the remarkable accomplishments of China’s economy and the achievements of the reform and development of state-owned enterprises since the introduction of reform and opening up policy four decades ago. He also put forward suggestions for the development of China Chengtong’s capital operation business, and expressed his willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two sides to support China Chengtong’s reform and development.
After the meeting, some of the trainees of the ‘China Executive Leadership Programme (CELP) 2018 Benchmarking World-Class Companies’, jointly organised by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and the China Centre at Jesus College of the University of Cambridge, participated in a forum with Professor Nolan at the Group’s headquarters. Members of the training programme shared with Professor Nolan their companies’ development and achievement attained in ‘going global’ and international operation, and expressed their hope to strengthen exchanges and cooperation so as to make greater efforts to accelerate the cultivation of China’s world-class enterprises with global competitiveness.
Head of the Group’s Office of the President, Department of Human Resources, and CCT Fund Management attended the meeting.
